TRAFFIC LIGHTS
No Decision On Subsidies <N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 17. The National Roads Board yesterday deferred consideration of an application for a subsidy on traffic signs on state highways within Christchurch city until a detailed review of all proposed installations within the city is available.
The council had sought subsidies for lights to be erected at the Fitzgerald-Moorhouse avenue and Fitzgerald-Bealey avenue intersections.
It would cost £3500 to install each set.
