Market Balanced At Close Of Trading
The market was in balance yesterday as New Zealand stock exchanges closed for the week. Leaders showed again a net advance, in below-average turn-over. Overseas shares were not traded.
Tasman at 47s recovered 2s, Feltex rose 9d to 27s 9d, Spedding gained lOd in ex-dividend sales of 15s 9d, and Reid Rubber firmed 7d to 245. Early Brothers rose another 3d to 13s 9d. Turnbull and Jones lost Is 3d to 6s, and Dunlop, General Foods, New Zealand Insurance, South British Insurance, and Northern Steam fell Id.
