Y.W.C.A. Appeal
About £250 was collected yesterday from the street appeal held by the Christchurch Young Women’s Christian Association. The money collected yesterday, and £lOO collected from a stall held in Cathedral square in August, will go towards the general funds of the association. The general secretary (Mrs F. W. Gunz) said yesterday that the result was very pleading, as at the last street appeal, held in 1964, a good deal less had been collected.
