This Section will provide mathematical, statistical and computing services to the organisation as a whole, and may also be involved in cybernetic and automation activities of its own. The Section will also provide services to a new consulting body, to be established next year, particularly in the field of mathematical models of technical-economic situations. An honours degree in Mathematics is required, and experience in Computer Programming would be useful. An interest in applying mathematical methods to practical situations essential.
