Gift To Motor Club
The South Island Motor Union, which will be dissolved after the formation of the New Zealand Automobile Association, on Thursday night presented a chairman’s gavel to the Pioneer Motor Club.
Mr W. R. Martin, of Nelson, president of the South island Motor Union, gave the gavel to the president of the Pioneer Motor Club (Mr E. Norris). The club, a member of the union since 1920, has applied for membership of the association.
Similar presentations were made to other South Island automobile associations by the motor union in September.
