Profit Rises To £28,815
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 11. Accounts of Vibrapac Masonry (Wellington) for the year to August 31, confirm that net profits were £28,815, against £25.004 last year and £19,736 in 1964. Latest result represents an increase of 15.2 per cent. Earning rate on capital is up from 25 per cent to 28.8 per cent Profit is reached after provision of £21,828 (£14,925) for ordinary depreciation and £4933 (£7475) for special depreciation, a total of £26,761 (£22,400) and after provision of £30,000 (£17,500) for tax. Gross profit from operating was £160,174 (£126;719) and expenses, including depreciation were £101,364 (£84,937). Dividend, raised from 10 to 12 per cent, takes £12,000 (£10,000) and is covered 2.4 times. A sum of £lOOO (nil) is written off preliminary expenses and after the addition of £519 tax over-provided the previous year, carry-forward is £31,500 (£30,166). Paid capital is unchanged at £lOO,OOO. Reserves are £56,673 (£40,339) and shareholders’ funds £156,673 (£140,339).
