Two Rifles Stolen
Two rifles were stolen from parked cars in Christchurch at the week-end. A .303 sporting rifle, valued at £45, was stolen from an unlocked car in Elm grove, Linwood, between 8 p.m. on Saturday and 8.30 a.m. yesterday. A .22 rifle, valued at £lO, was taken from a parked car in Diamond avenue, Spreydon, between 12.30 a.m. and 9 a m. yesterday. Property valued at £32 10s was stolen from an unlocked car in Lyttelton street, Spreydon, between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. yesterday.
