ABATTOIR IN CENTRAL
Profitability Appraisal (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 4. An independent accountant will be instructed by the Meat Board to prepare a detailed budget of capital expenditure and operating profitability of the current proposals for a Central Otago abattoir with a limited export licence. “Consultants will be instructed to prepare plans which, in their opinion, would reasonably establish the capital cost of the abattoir. This information will be required to enable the accountant to prepare his budget,” Sir John Ormond, chairman of the Meat Board, said today. “The accountant’s report will enable the future of the project to be realistically appraised. “The board and the Central Otago Freezing Company will discuss the report.”
