CENTENNIAL BALL
One hundred and fifty past and present parishioners attended the St. Mary’s Church centennial ball in the Te Kura Lounge, which was decorated with green foliage. Guests were received by Archdeacon S. E. Woods and Mrs Woods. Mrs Woods wore a long sheath dress of glazed cotton. The material was patterned in a striking jade green and light blue floral design. The ball was organised by Mr J. Vernon and Mr W. Price. Mrs Vembn wore a gown of cream brocade satin, with a round neck, short sleeves and inverted pleats in the skirt.
