HOSPITAL TUNNEL.—A section of the underground passage which will connect the new boiler-house with the Christchurch Hospital. It will pass under Tuam street and Oxford terrace. The tunnel, 7ft 9in high and lift wide, is being built in pre-cast sections in a trench 15ft high and 18ft wide.
