Elegance pays Big Dividends

When your wardrobe is based on good lines, fine fabrics and distinctive detail, the years do not penalise a woman who dresses with style and good taste ... and youth proves no handicap to chic.

Above rights Patricia, our more mature model, so seldom featured, yet so important, wears with assurance a 3-piece suit by Haute Couture Pour Vous, of Auckland. There’s a Courage Overtone to the dark outlining of the geometrical seaming on the string toned Linen/Terylene jacket, but the Butter Chocolate washable crepe blouse is softened by a lavish bow. Worn with it, a Breton in Swiss Straw with a tailored Petersham Ribbon trim. Pat, young enough to be Patricia s daughter, wears an English import, a suit styled by Maggie Shepherd of London. In Junior Navy, deepened by. Black, it introduces the ’military look,’ the double breasted jacket, flashing buttons of brass. Fully lined with Emerald silk, the same vivid colour braids the pocket and | sleeves. White cuffs and a turtle necked front are detachable for easy laundering. Cone skirt. It features looped button fastening and a double curve collar, and tones beautifully with the ’Crochet Knit’ silk suit worn underneath. Bottom right: The suit ’Petite Vogue,’ by Classic features pocket flans and collar bound with satin.
