Athletics At Sumner
The newly formed Sumner-Redcliffs Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club will hold its first track meeting at St Leonard’s Square, Sumner, at 6.30 p.m. this evening. Events for persons from six years upwards will be catered for. The programme would depend on what was offering, said the president (Mr I. K. Koranic).
Competitions would be held every Wednesday evening until the end of the season and a points system would be incorporated in them. It was planned to vary the events from week to week and hold club championships at the end of the season. Mr Koranic said he hoped parents and residents would turn out and help run the meetings.
