Twelfth Novel
Mrs Nora Sanderson, of Christchurch, recently had her twelfth novel accepted for publication. She began writing novels in 1962 and has had 11 novels published. The twelfth will be published in January. She has been writing short stories for radio and for publication since she was in her teens, has written children's stories and also contributes to Sunday school publications. “My novels are ail light romantic nursing stories because my publishers like them that way,” she said. “Also I think a familiar background is essential for any writer and I was a nurse before my marriage.” Mrs Sanderson is a life member of the St. John Ambulance Association, a member of the British Romantic Novelist’s Association, a member of the New Zealand Women Writers’ Society and the newly-formed South Island Writers’ Association. Some of her novels have been translated into Dutch and most of them have been
re-published in paper-back form by her Canadian publishers. Mrs Sanderson is the wife of a retired Methodist minister and the mother of six children.
