R. Moore won the trophy for the day on the Ashburton’Rifle Club range with an aggregate of 102. J. McKendry was second also with 102. They both shot possibles at 500 yards. The Rangiora club fired its •econd competition over 500 and 600 yards. I. Posa won the handicap, with C. Butters scoring 92 for top off the rifle. The Waiau club also hsot at <OO and 600 yards, with A. R. Robinson making 99 with handicap and F. McKie top off the rifle with 97. Results: Ashburton.—R.
