Barbuda Again Likely

Barbuda is expected to prove his worth as a stayer with a win in the twomile Stewards’ Handicap at Victoria Park tomorrow evening. This is the main race and first leg of the T.A.B. double on the second night of the Greymouth Trotting Club’s spring meeting.

Barbuda missed over 13 furlongs in the President’s Handicap on Wednesday, but made amends with an impressive sprint win in the Dobson Handicap. The extra distance in this race will suit him admirably and he should be untroubled to win. Loyal Light will not be without a chance from 36 yards. She did well to finish third to Richard Hanover and Bon Coeur on Wednesday. She, too, stays well. The first-night winners, Spry and Richard Hanover and Bon Coeur appeal most of the others.
