Tulip Export Plan
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Oct. 20. A scheme to grow tulips out of season could result in 30.000 bulbs being exported from New Zealand according ■to Mr J. J. Eeden, of West Plains. He said his brothers in Holland had been experimenting with consignments from his farm, and by treatment and temperature control hoped to produce blooms of commercial quality this northern winter. Mr Van Eeden said if the experiments succeeded, the European and American commercial markets would be assured. On his four-acre tulip farm. Mr Van Eeden has about 500.000 bulbs. He already exports bulbs to Australia. Children At Museum.— From September 10 to October 14, 6090 children visited the museum, it was reported to the Museum Trust Board vesterday. Since February 1. 1030 classes amounting to! 35,337 children, visited the! museum.
