SOUTH VIETNAM AIRFIELD UNDER WATER.—Somewhere in the foreground of this photograph is an airfield runway, now 10ft under water, of the Moe Hoa outpost built by United States Special Forces men. Looking like an island in the sea as the floodwaters rise, the outpost, 50 miles south-west of Saigon and near the Cambodian border, is high and dry. Until now, it has been inundated each year. In the background, the village housing dependants of Vietnamese militiamen has not escaped the floodwaters.
