“The Press" Special Service INVERCARGILL. The English sure Bellborsugh, which has had a considerable influence on thoroughbred breeding tn Southland, will be transferred to the Waikato district next stud season.
Bellborough was imported by Mr A. J. Lawton for his Hampton Lodge Stud.
He will go to the Te Kowha! Stud of Mr H. W. S. Faulks, of Frankton Junction.
Beilborough will be replaced at Hampton Lodge by the imported horse Blueskin il, which is at present standing in the Wellington district.
Beilborough, w-hich was imported in 1959, was the first son of Mossborough to be brought to New Zealand. His stock showed brilliant early speed and in his first crop he sired the season's top two-year-old filly, Rondabeße.
It is expected that he will remain in the North Island for three seasons.
