Awaroa's first win for the season did not look far distant when she ran second over six furlongs at Stratford on October 1.

Her chance looks bright in the Brewer Memorial Handicap, the second leg of the Waverley club’s T.A.B. double today. Kaupane and Surf Boy are two of the stronger fancies for the first leg, the Waverley Cup. Selections.—
