18 Acceptors For Caulfield Cup

MELBOURNE. Only 18 horses were left in Saturdays Caulfield Cup when acceptances were declared at 12.30 p.tn. yesterday. The V.A.T.C. committee did not have to exercise any of the elimination clauses to reduce the field to size, and there w as no need for emergency acceptors. The safety limit for the Caulfield Cup start (11 miles) is 20. It was the first time since 1959, when Regal Wench won. that a ballot had not been necessary. Acceptors:
