The Wellington City Council has declared its policy on the future of an airport for the city to be one of keeping the region on international air routes.
The chairman of the Wellington City Council airport sub-committee, Cr. S. H. J. Duff, said that support of other local authorities for this policy would be welcomed. The council would support the Government in its declared intention to upgrade Paraparaumu aerodrome in order that this policy may be implemented, he said.
