GARDEN CONTEST
Papanui North Styx Area
The standard of gardens in the Redford Beautifying Association’s spring garden competition for the Papanui North-Styx area was very high and colourful, the judges, Messrs R. Proctor and M. Smith, said yesterday. Results were:—
Mr and Mrs D. Hardy, 71 Daniels road, 1; Mr and Mrs C. Shaskey, 30 Prestons road, 2: Mr and Mrs R. Skevington. 159 Highstead road, 3. Merit cards were awarded to Mr and Mrs J. Robinson, 9 Grimseys road: Mr and Mrs J Hughes, 32 Grampian street: Mr and Mrs G. Banks. 102 Prestons road, Mr and Mrs E. Birdling, 80 Mottram street.
