WAIKATO’S NEED
Midwifery School
(N.Z. Press Association)
HAMILTON, Oct. 11
A school of midwifery may soon be established at Waikato Hospital. If so, the present critical shortage of trained maternity staff at the Campbell Johnstone maternity wing may be relieved.
More of the present staff might be retained at the hospital if a school of midwifery was established. At present nurses at the hospital who wish to specialise in maternity nursing have to train at other centres.
