Clipper (rails), under a hard ride, was second by a neck, and Seminole (No. 12) was third by a similar margin. The top-weight, Royal Bid, ran fourth. BOTTOM: In a tight finish to the second leg. the Ronald MacDonald Memorial Handicap, Kalimera (outside) beat Time and Tide by a head. Early Dawn (third) was two-and-a-half lengths back.
