Cat Had Run Of Ship
f N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 10. Koko. an 11-year-old black and white tom cat from Cornwall, arrived in Auckland in the Ceramic this morning after having the run of the ship during the whole voyage. He came with Captain and Mrs J. Fitzgibbon, who have bought a house in Thames. Captain Fitzgibbon, R-N. (retired), who served as engineer in three aircraft-carriers during the war, decided on New Zealand after visiting many countries to find a home to retire.
As soon as Koko was let free by the purser he wandered around the ship. Koko ate a lot of cucumber (his only green) and even caught a flying fish.
