Former Bowls Champion Dead
■ (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Wellington’s top bowler in the last decade. Mr T. W. J. Barron, aged 58, died at his home yesterday morning. He was one of only three Wellington bowlers awarded the centre’s gold medal with bar, for winning 10 centre titles. He was also very consistent in national bowls and twice represented New Zealand at Commonwealth Games, in 1958 and 1962. In 1962, he won the national singles title at Christchurch. He is survived by his wife and two sons, both prominent bowlers.
