Literary Fund Grants
(N.Z. Press Association» WELLINGTON, Sept. 28. Three grants from the Literary Fund, made on the recommendation of its advisory committee, were announced today by the Minister of Interna] Affairs (Mr Seath). P.E.N. (New Zealand centre) will receive £124 to restore the Hubert Church award for prose to £lOO and the Jessie Mackay award for poetry to £5O.
Blackwood and Janet Paul, Ltd., will receive two grants —one of £96 to assist publication of a book of poems by Alan Roddick and the other of £lOB to assist publication of “Present Company.” an address by Dr. Charles Brasch. the retiring editor of “Landfall," to the Auckland Gallery Associates.
