University’s Ruling (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Sept. 28. The Otago University Council today passed regulations to ensure students would not be unduly victimised by high rents and sub-standard accommodation. In May, the council approved in principle that the university should have authority to require students to live in halls of residence or approved accommodation. Additions to the discipline regulations providing for this have now been promulgated to help the council improve the living conditions of students. The regulations provide for a university officer to inspect premises other than homes of parents or guardians where students may be living.
