Noisy Parties
Sir, —Is there any redress under City Council by-laws or the Police Offences Act against neighbours who hold noisy, drunken parties which continue into the early hours of Sunday morning, making it impossible for those in close proximity to sleep?— Yours etc., SLEEPLESS AND WEARY. September 26, 1966. [Chief Superintendent G. W. Alty replies: “Your correspondent has my deepest sympathy. He has no redress of which I am aware under statute or by-law. If the nuisance persists he might, by employing a solicitor, succeed in obtaining an injunction through the courts against the occupiers or owners.”]
