BIG ARMY EXERCISE

Mobilisation Test (N.Z. Press Association! WELLINGTON, Sept. 19. The largest mobilisation exercise undertaken by the New Zealand Army since the Second World War will take place this month. The Adjutant-General, Brigadier A. H. Andrews, said today “Round-Up One” would be a staff and communciations exercise involving all headquarters down to unit level. The exercise—the second since 1960—was designed to test the early stages of mobilisation and would be assessed by “umpires” throughout all military districts, he said. It would be followed by a further test when units of the Ist Infantry Brigade group and the logistic support group concentrated for formation training early next year. Jbr
