Army ‘Hot Line’

(N.Z. P. A -Reuter—Copy right) NEW DELHI, Sept. 18. Indian and Pakistani Army chiefs would have a “hot line” to keep in touch with each other, a Defence Ministry spokesman said today. The direct telephone line, between Army headquarters in New Delhi and Rawalpindi would be opened imediately. The Army chiefs agreed last week to notify each other of troop movements in advance so that tension did not build up along the IndoPakistan border.
