Topsil Wins At Gisborne

GISBORNE. In a tight finish, Topsil snatched victory in a photofinish to the Ruie Hansen Memorial Handicap, the second leg of the T.A.B. double at the Poverty Bay Hunt meeting at Makaraka on Saturday. The judge first called the fastfinishing Golden Summit as the winner after examining the photo but the result was reversed in Topsll’s favour by a nose soon afterwards. Topsil, brilliantly ridden by R. C. Lang, completed the offcourse double with the near, outsider Paper Kiwi, wrinner of the Thomas Fraser Memorial Handicap, paying £153 Is for £l.
