26 PEOPLE ARRESTED
Celtic And Rangers (N.Z. P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) GLASGOW. Twenty-six people were arrested at the Scottish First Division soccer match between Celtic and Rangers on Saturday to continue the record of violence in matches between these bitter Glasgow rivals. Those arrested were charged with breaches of the peace. Another 30 fans were Injured, some by flying bottles. Celtic, the reigning champion, won 2-0, with goals in the first four minutes through Auld and Murdoch.
Crowd disorders also marred some English League matches. A bottle was thrown during the Second Division match between Northampton and Plymouth, and police patrolled the area behind the Plymouth goal. Spectators threw stones during the Fourth Division match between Wrexham and Newport County, and fighting broke out among players.
