Baillie, proved on Saturday that he ha> recovered from the leg troubles which almost forced him into retirement, with an outstanding ninth consecutive victory in the annual Onehunga-to-Auckland road race of 6 miles and a half He first won the event in 1958 He extended his only true challenger. I. S. Studd. over the rugged miles of climbing from Onehunga to Epsom, surviving several attempts Studd made to break clear. Over the final mile Baillie went ahead to win by 60 yards, in the time of 33min 40 sec.
