Old Parr Thames Fancy

“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. Old Parr, a nine-year-old from Matamata, and Dashing Lu, which is six years younger, look a likely combination for the T.A.B. double at Thames today. Old Parr is a good middledistance runner with a background of very fair form. Dashing Lu, a Te Aroha filly, looked promising last season. She will resume racing after a rest. Old Parr is a candidate for the Coakley Memorial, and Dashing Lu’s race is the Steward’s Handicap. Old Parr’s main rivals In the first leg, may be El Cid, Red Filou, Crojack, and Regal Ruler. Double image and Gold Imp may offer Dashing Lu most oppos'ition. Ahwahnee, a three-year-old from Takanini, Is another chance.
