This is a day school with a roll, at present, of 20-25 children with various types of physical disability. It is run under the auspices of the Fiji Crippled Childrens Society but is staffed by civil service teachers. The work would be both challenging and rewarding as the appointee would be expected to assist and advise on the new school building which is to be erected and on the facilities required there, to advise on possible expansion of education for crippled children in other parts of the Colony and to help local teachers at the school to acquire the skills required for this type of teaching. The appointment would be on contract for a period of approximately two years commencing January, 1967. The salary scale is £F.BOI-£F.1092 (£Stg.72l-£Stg.9B4) the entry point to be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
