Fire Damages Shop
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 16. Fire destroyed the rear entrance, loading bay and goods lift of Purser Brothers’ Furniture shop in Devon street, New Plymouth, yesterday. The company’s managing director, Mr H. M. Purser, said the major stock loss was 40 or 50 rolls of linoleum, home appliances, and three or four mattresses worth about £3O.
