Computer On Rates
The services of the Christchurch Computer Bureau will be used by the Waimairi County Council for its ratedemand work. This decision was reached by the council at its meeting when the clerk, (Mr K. Maclachlan) recommended employment of the bureau, as opposed to using the 1.8. M. data processing centre. He said that in May, the bureau had estimated that the annual cost for computer use and council staff time would be £5226, since reduced by £75, plus an establishment cost of £2700, since reduced by £l5O.
It was stated that the council'would save the cost of the seitvice in savings on plant and staff time.
