DAMAGE TO HOUSE
Four Youths Convicted
Four youths appeared in the Magistrate's Court yesterday on charges relating to the wrecking of a house at 456 Cashel street on September 2. They were convicted and remanded on bail to September 22 for sentence by Mr E. S. J. Crutchley, S.M. Graham Alexander Millar, aged 18, a fibre-glass worker, pleaded guilty to a charge of wilful damage to the extent of £l5, and Paul Wayne Fisher, aged 18, a rubber moulder, pleaded guilty to a charge of wilful damage to the extent of £25 and the theft of a mattress valued at £3 10s. Mr G. R. Lascelles appeared for both accused. Stephen John Smith, aged 17, a car cleaner (Mr R. G. Blunt), and Clive Wayne McLeod, aged 18, a washingmachine assembler (Mr J. R. Milligan), also pleaded guilty, Smith to a charge of wilful damage to a wardrobe valued at £6, and McLeod to a charge of wilful damage to a window valued at £4.
