MINERAL EXPORT

Australia ‘Plundered’ (N.Z. Prest Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Sept. 11. Australia’* natural resources were being plundered, Mr A. S. Luchetti, chairman of the Australian Labour Party’s committee on natural development, said last night. “It is a strange attitude of the Government that the plunder is regarded as the development of Australia,” he said. He said Australia was being made into a “vast quarry so industrialists in other countries can have our raw materials. “It is not good for Australia.” he said. “It is not natural development for us. It is natural development for the countries receiving our raw materials. “All Australia gets is the small change and a hole in the ground.”
