OCCUPATIONAL HAZARD.—As frequent users of the public highways, road cyclists are often faced with obstacles not usually expected. Among these are stock, such as sheep or cows, and in last Saturday’s Christchurch-to-Akaroa race, the back four bunches were delayed by a large flock of sheep just before Little River. Attempting to negotiate their way through are, in order from the front, M. J. Hewson, B. P. Whitfield, R. J. Connelly, G. R. Lienert (left) and P. I. Frisken.
