Radio Workers Get Rise
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 9. Increases ranging from 3s 4d to £1 8s 6d a week are provided for in a newly-issued award for radio industry workers. The minimum rate for a designer is £l9 Ils 6d, a technician £l7 17s 9d, and a registered radio serviceman £l7 17s 6d.
Male assemblers will receive £l4 15s lOd and female assemblers £lO 13s. The new rates are retrospective to August 1.
