Telephone 42-477. 3076 TOWNSVILLE CITY COUNCIL TOWN PLANNING OFFICER DUTIES: Responsible for the implementation of the Town Plan, the control of development, including subdivisions and advising upon planning standards generally. The Town Planning Officer is also responsible to the Town Clerk for the administration of the Town Planning Department. QUALIFICATIONS: Preferable Town and Country Planning Degree or Diploma, membership of the Australian Planning Institute, and at least five years’ experience in a senior planning position. SALARY: $5700 to $6500 per annum. The successful applicant will be paid a salary within this range, commensurate with his qualifications and experience. CONDITIONS: Four weeks’ annual leave, superannuation benefits, cumulative sick leave entitlements, travelling and removal expenses. (The council would be prepared to contribute to the fares and removal expenses of the appointee, up to a maximum of $4OO, provided he enters into a bond to remain in the council’s employ for a period of at least two years).
