E. Germans Dominant

East Germans dominated the first day of the world rowing championships on Lake Bled yesterday. They qualified for the finals or semi-finals of all seven events.

New Zealand oarsmen will row in repechages in a last attempt to reach the finals. The singles scull champion, M. P. Watkinson. was third in his heat, and New Zealand was third in a heat of the eights.
