Powder Rooms

Sir, —The correspondent who was moved to make a plea for better toilet facilities for men prompts me to write regarding a most pleasing aspect of public powder rooms available to the women of this city. As a visitor to Christchurch, I was most interested to spend several hours this week at the Building Centre in Cashel street, and I would like publicly to commend those persons responsible for the outstanding powder room which has been provided. In all my travels 1 have never seen more pleasing or cleaner facilities, and it should be safe to assume that those offering for male visitors to the Building Centre are of a similar high standard.—Yours, etc., LORRAINE.
