Mr Lake Going To America
(N.Z. Press Association > WELLINGTON, Sept. 1. The Minister of Finance (Mr Lake) will visit Ottawa for a Finance Ministers’ meeting on September 23 and 24. Talks will range over recent pressure on the sterling, financing Commonwealth trade and aid, and finance matters arising from the Prime Ministers’ Conference in London next week.
From September 26 to 30 Mr Lake will visit Washington for the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and of the World Bank.
He leaves on September 16 and is due back on October 9. He will also visit New York.
