Lambing Record
(N Z. Pre Association> AUCKLAND, Sept. 1. One of the highest lambing percentages ever recorded in New Zealand has been achieved by the Mt. Albert Grammar School farm 68 live lambs from 34 stud Border Leicester ewes. The last of the school's 35-ewe flock has yet to lamb. If she produces live twins, as she has three times before, the total lamb tally will be 70—a percentage for the
entire flock of 200 which Is twice a* good as the national lambing percentage last year. The manager ef the school farm. Mr C. Honeybun. said today that he and his students were delighted with this year's lambing performance. He had not heard of it being bettered anywhere in New Zealand previously even with a small stud flock.
The lamb tally includes two sets of quadruplets. Six lambs died.
