Mrs Jacqueline Kennedy, on her last night in the White House, wrote a letter to Mr Khrushchev expressing her hopes for peace, “Newsweek” magazine reported. It said this was one of the Incidents recounted in a forthcoming book, “The Death of a President," by 'William Manchester. “Newsweek” said the book “contains the text of a letter written in longhand by Jacqueline Kennedy on her last night in the White House, to Nikita Khrushchev, expressing. as a mother of two children, her hopes for peace.” -
