TARIFF AND DEVELOPMENT BOARD NOTICE NO. 48— ADDITION TO TERMS OF REFERENCE AND CHANGE OF DATE OF PUBLIC INQUIRY INTO IMPORT DUTIES AND IMPORT LICENSING AFFECTING CERTAIN TYPES OF BONDED FIBRE FABRICS USED AT SUBSTITUTES FOR LEATHER 1. Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 47 of 1 August, 1966, gave notice of the intention of the Tariff and Developments Bd. to inquire into and report on the question of whether a determination under the terms of tariff item 655.410.1 should be made in respect of bonded fibre fabrics with a blown plastic coating (e.g. “Corfam”) and, if so, what rates of duty should be imposed on these goods, and, additionally, import licensing as affecting the goods. 2. Considering the nature of the materials involved, the Board will also receive evidence at this Inquiry in respect of any other materials with a micro-porous structure which may be used as substitutes for leather but which may be classified elsewhere in the Tariff, e.g.: Group 581 —Plastic materials regenerated cellulose, artificial resins. Items 655.431.1.9 —Textile fabrics impregnated or coated with preparations of cellulose derivatives or of other man-made plastic materials. Group 893 —Articles of manmade plastic materials, n.e.i. 3. To enable preparation of evidence under the above Tariff classifications the Public Inquiry which was to have commenced on Tuesday, October 18, will now commence at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 1966, in the Board Room, Ist Floor, New Zealand Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor street, Wellington. 4. THE AIR SERVICES LICENSING ACT 1951 NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND OF PUBLIC HEARING 1. APPLICATIONS in respect of Air Service Licences have been received as described in the Schedule hereunder and a pub lie hearing of the Licensing Authority will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 1966 at the Magistrate’s Court. Masterton, for the purpose of considering evidence in favour of or against the granting of the applications. 2. Any person or organisation wishing to object to the grant ing of any application is directed to give notice thereof to the Licensing Authority and to any applicant concerned at least five clear days prior to the date of the hearing.
