TARIFF AND DEVELOPMENT BOARD NOTICE NO. 48— ADDITION TO TERMS OF REFERENCE AND CHANGE OF DATE OF PUBLIC INQUIRY INTO IMPORT DUTIES AND IMPORT LICENSING AFFECTING CERTAIN TYPES OF BONDED FIBRE FABRICS USED AT SUBSTITUTES FOR LEATHER 1. Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 47 of 1 August, 1966, gave notice of the intention of the Tariff and Developments Bd. to inquire into and report on the question of whether a determination under the terms of tariff item 655.410.1 should be made in respect of bonded fibre fabrics with a blown plastic coating (e.g. “Corfam”) and, if so, what rates of duty should be imposed on these goods, and, additionally, import licensing as affecting the goods. 2. Considering the nature of the materials involved, the Board will also receive evidence at this Inquiry in respect of any other materials with a micro-porous structure which may be used as substitutes for leather but which may be classified elsewhere in the Tariff, e.g.: Group 581 —Plastic materials regenerated cellulose, artificial resins. Items 655.431.1.9 —Textile fabrics impregnated or coated with preparations of cellulose derivatives or of other man-made plastic materials. Group 893 —Articles of manmade plastic materials, n.e.i. 3. To enable preparation of evidence under the above Tariff classifications the Public Inquiry which was to have commenced on Tuesday, October 18, will now commence at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 1966, in the Board Room, Ist Floor, New Zealand Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor street, Wellington. 4. Twelve copies of a typewritten statement of the evidence to be tendered at the Public Inquiry should be lodged with the undernamed not later than Tuesday, November 8, 1966. THE AIR SERVICES LICENSING ACT 1951 NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND OF PUBLIC HEARING 1. APPLICATIONS in respect of Air Service Licences have been received as described in the Schedule hereunder and a pub lie hearing of the Licensing Authority will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 1966 at the Magistrate’s Court. Masterton, for the purpose of considering evidence in favour of or against the granting of the applications. 2. Any person or organisation wishing to object to the grant ing of any application is directed to give notice thereof to the Licensing Authority and to any applicant concerned at least five clear days prior to the date of the hearing. A notice of objection must state therein in general terms the grounds of objection and must be accom. panied by such documents, testimonials or other written evidence as the objector considers will assist the Licensing Authority in its consideration of the application. 3. Any person or organisation wishing to support the granting of any application is directed to forward written submissions to the Authority at least five clear days prior to the date of the hearing. SCHEDULE 1. An application by Air Contracts Ltd., P.O. Box 209, Masterton for the amend ment of Air Service Licence No. 330 to provide (a) for the operation of the following services with 3 DHC2 Beavers, 1 Fletcher. F.U.24, 1 Piper PA2S-235 and 1 heavy aircraft under charter. (i) An aerial poisoning service over the Dominion of New Zealand (ii) An aerial dusting service over the Dominion of New Zealand and (b) for the operation of an aerial spraying service over the Dominion of New Zealand with one additional medium aircraft. NOTE: Air Service Licence No. 330 provides for the operation of an aerial topdressing service over the Southern portion of the North Island up to a straight line running from the outlet of the Rangitikei River to Taihape and thence to Waipawa and due East to the Coast with 2 Beavers, 1 Fletcher, 2 PA2S-235’s and 1 heavy aircraft under charter. 2. An application by Air Services (Wairarapa) Ltd for the amendment of Air Service Licence No. 354 to pro. vide for the operation of the following services with 1 DHC2 Beaver and 1 Cessna 185.
