Parliament’s Diary
Sixteen bills were read a third time and passed when Parliament resumed yesterday afternoon. They included three measures recognising the republics of Malawi, Tanzania and Singapore, eight altering the charters of New Zealand’s universities, the Submarine Cable and Pipelines Protection Bill, the Trades Certification Bill, the Surveyors’ Bill, the Arms Amendment Bill, and the Factories Amendment Bill. The following bills were put through their committee stages: the Criminal Injuries Compensation Amendment Bill, the Life Insurance Amendment Bill, the Evidence Amendment Bill, and the International Finance Agreements Amendment Bill.
